About Free Form Film Festival:

I'm sorry, but you don't have Flash.

What is it?

The Free Form Film Festival (FFFF) is a traveling festival of film and music created by loaf-i productions and inner mission productions. Events include, shorts and features across all genres, live music and multimedia performance, and installation. We are a continuously touring festival without beginnings or endings. In other words, we do it here and there, whenever and wherever possible.

What Will Be Accepted?:

As the festival name implies, the FFFF will accept any genre for consideration. Narratives, documentaries, experimental pieces, and all other genres of film will be on equal footing. Whatever you have, submit it. ANYTHING GOES.

As well as accepting any genre of film, we will be placing no restrictions whatsoever on time limit or format. If we think your film is valuable, we WILL find a way to screen it. For submission purposes, send vhs or DVD. If we choose your film, we will try our best to show it in its original format.

About the Deadlines and Acceptance of Films:

Submission deadline for 2007 tour/events: Oct 1st

Here's how it works: When we receive submissions, we put them into a film pool. We draw from this pool and every town that the FFFF visits gets a slightly different festival. We do this so that we can appropriately meet the needs and interests of each community we visit. Within two years of receiving your film(s), we assume permission to show your work at any city we see fit. EVERY FILM SUBMITTED GOES INTO THE FILM POOL. That means, if you submit a work to us, we will go over it every time we schedule a venue for the next two years, thus giving it a pretty good chance of being shown someplaces. This policy makes it easier to get in if our judges consider your film to be “on the borderline.” Are there films that we will want to show at all venues? Of course! And with our film pool method, you will never receive a rejection notice from the FFFF. Instead, each time we book a location where we want to screen your film, we will contact you about it.

Also, we know two years is a lot of time, so... If within that time frame, your film gets tied up in a conflicting contract, it's okay. Remember, we will contact you personally about every screening were we want to show your film, so you can deny us the right to show your film if need be.

The best you can hope for: Getting your film screened once at every venue we visit for the two years.

The worst that could happen: Like any fest, the worst that could happen is that you don't get shown at all, but don't worry, we have faith in you.
